This is Poem in Your Pocket Day! I plan to read poems to the captive ladies under hair dryers when I get my hair cut this afternoon. Meanwhile, when are the American Goldfinches going to leave? We watch them molt and change their outfits from drab to golden–call them “the Golden Boys”–and then, when the transformation’s complete, they fly away, until next year in the middle of winter. Not this year. Plenty of gold to be seen out the window. I need to know the answer to this question. It’s a matter of how much nyjer to buy. Don’t want to be stuck with half a 20-lb. sack
