Thursday, Sept. 8

Gave up on trying to fix my printer problems and called someone to come and do it for me–a charming techie who has a salaried job in the mornings, takes computer calls in the afternoons and plays gigs with a band in the evenings. He described how he was less ambitious now that he’s “older.” Hard to believe anyone could keep up with this schedule, but he looked plenty young enough to me. Still has lots of hair (including facial) sounds like the younger generation. We tried to talk while the sander was going in the next room, making visible progress on the floors.

Glad to hear you found a “charming” techie. Didn’t know they came that way. šŸ™‚

I wanted to let you know that if your house isn’t ready for crit group this month, we can do it at my house. Just let me know. I’ll see you this afternoon. d

    • Thanks so much for the offer, Dee! Anticipating that this job would continue dragging on, I booked a room for us at the library. Did I say that this guy works three jobs, one of which is playing with a band at night? (“What do you play?” “Whatever they need.”) And that he got the name of his computer company from a book of baby names? Who wouldn’t love him? Carol
