We’re into Fall now, and I got hit by a falling acorn. Ouch! Square on the noggin. I usually know enough to sit under the patio umbrella. The ink-jet printer is working, but now the TV is beset with problems (tomorrow the Cable guy is coming for the second time in two weeks). The house now has furniture here and there but no rugs. (“Carpeting will smother the new floor and make a white spot underneath unless you let the floor breathe for a few weeks.”) Boxes of unpacked stuff are sitting around. These two old ladies aren’t all that swift anymore, and getting this house back together will take us awhile. BEAUTIFUL new oak floors, though! Who’s complaining?

I’m so glad it’s all getting finished. And thanks for the acorn warning.
